UTC Heathrow students look to exciting futures as hard work pays off!

Aug 18, 2022

Year 13 students are celebrating this morning after their hard work, determination and resilience has paid off with exam results that will open doors to the next stages of their lives.

UTC Heathrow offers three distinct pathways at post 16: Technical, A Level and combination of the two in a unique workplace-style environment.

Eager students picked up their A Level and Technical qualification results this morning, securing them places on prestigious apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships.

We are especially delighted that several of our students have landed apprenticeships after working alongside a variety of data centre employers on our unique new Digital Futures Programme, which has just celebrated its inaugural year.

Other students are starting apprenticeships at Cyrus One, Sir Robert McAlpine, Alstom, RAF, KBM Accountancy and Olssen.

Students have also gained places on sought-after courses at universities including: University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield, Kings College London, University of Reading, City University, Queen Mary University, Brunel University, University of Hertfordshire, Leeds Beckett University and University of Brighton.

We are so proud of all our pupils, who have worked exceptionally hard after another challenging year and we look forward to hearing about their future adventures.

Our vision is to ‘transform lives through learning’ and the journey our students have been on working alongside employers while at UTC Heathrow means they are extremely well prepared for the next step.

At A Level:

  • 39% of grades being an A*-B
  • 72% of grades being an A*-C
  • 100% of grades being an A*-E
