One of the first events to kick off the new Digital Futures Programme was a Challenge Day with our 14- 16 year old students.
Their challenge was to determine an ideal location for a data centre and what components are needed to run a successful data centre.
Student teams had their own mentor for the day from each of our data centre partners: CNet Training, VIRTUS Data Centres, Amazon Web Services (AWS), CyrusOne, LMG (lmgiq.com), Yondr Group, CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) EMEA and Ark Data Centres.
This was a great introduction for students to start learning about data centres.
The winning team has won the opportunity to have a day out at one of the VIRTUS Data Centres!
