UTC Heathrow’s Digital Futures Programme has been in the spotlight in a podcast put together by Andy Davis, host of Inside Data Centre Podcast
Andy, who has many years experience within the Data Centre sector, was fascinated to hear about the work being done at UTC Heathrow to give students the skills they need for a digital or engineering career through our Digital Futures Programme.
In the podcast episode, he talk to the leaders, students, and sponsors of the programme, which has been developed to help manage the skills challenge in the data centre sector.
Programme leaders share with Andy their thoughts about why the programme is so important, what the programme offers to the students, and why it is so important that programmes like this are part of the education system.
Some of the students then share their experiencing of being part of the programme. They tell of how the learning differs from standard education, why they decided to follow this route, and what they hope to achieve in the future.
Finally two of the sponsors of the programme share their experiences of being a partner and why it is so important to their organisations to give back to the sector.
