ENGINEERING EXTENDED CERTIFICATE

What does this qualification cover?

• 4 units in total
• 2 units are 60 guided learning hours, and 2 units are 120 guided learning hours (these 3 units are externally examined units)
• The units are a blend of different engineering specialisms to ensure all students have a wide choice available for them at the end of the course. Such units include Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team, Engineering Principles, Engineering Product Design and Computer Programming

What’s included?

• 360 Guided Learning Hours – which is the equivalent to one A Level
• A mixture of theory and practical units that have been developed with our employers and universities in mind

Key Features

This course is taken alongside two traditional A Levels.

The BTEC in Engineering is an excellent steppingstone into higher education at university of can lead into an apprenticeship.

 We are within walking distance from Northwood Hills Tube station on the Metropolitan line, and the area is well served by local buses on Pinner Road and Joel Street.
