ENGINEERING EXTENDED CERTIFICATE
What does this qualification cover?
- 4 units in total
- 2 units are 60 guided learning hours, and 2 units are 120 guided learning hours (these 3 units are externally examined units)
- The units are a blend of different engineering specialisms to ensure all students have a wide choice available for them at the end of the course. Such units include Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team, Engineering Principles, Engineering Product Design and Computer Programming
What’s included?
- 360 Guided Learning Hours – which is the equivalent to one A Level
- A mixture of theory and practical units that have been developed with our employers and universities in mind
Key Features
This course is taken alongside two traditional A Levels.
The BTEC in Engineering is an excellent steppingstone into higher education at university of can lead into an apprenticeship.
