UTC Heathrow students celebrate GCSE success

Aug 25, 2022

Year 11 students at UTC Heathrow are celebrating this morning after receiving their GCSE results.

Our University Technical College (UTC), specialising in Engineering and IT offers a strong technical education alongside GCSE’s in a unique workplace-style environment.

Eager students picked up their results this morning, having waited anxiously over the summer.

We are so proud of all our students who have shone in so many different ways in their time with us by being active members of the school community. We hope their grades reflect their hard work.

The students’ hard work has resulted in:

  • Level 2 GCSE Basics 4+ of 71%
  • Level 2 GCSE Basics 5+ of 34%
  • Level 2 GCSE Basics 7+ of 3%

Executive Principal of UTC Heathrow, Wayne Edwards, said:

This is a great set of results that the students have achieved considering the last two years of their education and the impact of Covid 19. Their results have now allowed them to go onto the next stage in their educational journey.

Head of School, Jas Kallah, said:

Our students have produced another set of superb GCSE results. UTC Heathrow are immensely proud of each student and these outcomes will allow each of them to move on to the next stage in their career.

Our vision is to ‘transform lives through learning’ and the journey our students have been on while at UTC Heathrow means they are extremely well prepared for the next step.

We look forward to seeing those who will continue their studies in the Sixth Form at UTC Heathrow and wish well to those going on to other post 16 educational providers.

We are continuing to support students by providing information, advice and guidance on GCSE results day, and throughout the end of August and early September.

New for 2021/22 has been our Digital Futures Programme where students can study for a career in the data services industry. No other school in the UK currently offers this programme!
