Students at UTC Heathrow are celebrating today as they receive their GCSE and Level 2 technical qualification results, marking the culmination of two years of hard work, determination and resilience.
Year 11 students gathered at the school this morning to collect their results, reflect on their achievements and look ahead to the next stage of their education, training or employment.
The school is proud to celebrate a number of notable achievements this year, including:
- 94% of students achieving a pass grade in Engineering
- 100% achieving grade 7 or above in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- 60% achieving grade 4 or above in GCSE Mathematics
- 6% achieving grade 8 or above in GCSE Mathematics
The school is particularly proud of the individual successes of several students, including:
- Matteo, who achieved an exceptional seven grade 9s and two grade 8s
- Mahmoda, who achieved three grade 8s, three grade 7s and two grade 5s
Many students will now progress to UTC Heathrow’s sixth form, while others are moving on to a range of exciting opportunities in further education, apprenticeships and employment.

Alongside their GCSEs and technical qualifications, students have worked closely with UTC Heathrow’s employer partners to develop vital workplace skills and gain valuable career insight. These experiences help ensure students leave school well prepared for their next steps and future careers.
UTC Heathrow continues to support students on results day with information, advice and guidance, including helping local young people who may still be considering their post-16 options.
