The event saw eight STEM ambassadors from Cisco, Peter Brett Associates, Ultra Electronics, Hoare Lea, Balfour Beatty, Skanska and ABB, who were on hand to talk through the skills that they’re looking for and how Heathrow UTC offers a fantastic curriculum to reflect this.
British Airways were also in attendance as well as the Royal Navy who are currently supporting Unit 5 Specialist Engineering Project. Representatives from Gaia also set up a green screen and used the 3D projector to the computer room for demonstrations. Students in the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) were also offering tours and giving an insight into their experience of the school.
There was a talk from the Business Relations Manager, Michael Halliday and Assistant Principal, Jas Kallah, discussing the career prospects of studying at the UTC such as the continual employer engagement and state-of-the-art facilities.
