Heathrow Aviation Engineering UTC (University Technical College) is an exciting, unique school for students aged 14-19.
Based in Northwood, North West London, we offer a high-quality combined technical and academic education.
Our curriculum has been developed with globally-renowned employer partners, who provide motivational, work-related learning to help enhance our students’ employability within the engineering sector.
Students joining us at age 14 will work towards their GCSEs alongside technical qualifications.
40% of their time will cover technical studies, while 60% will be spent studying for GCSEs.
Those students joining us at age 14 will have the chance to get a head start with their engineering qualifications, gaining a Level 2 certificate, as well as their core GCSEs by the time they complete Year 11. They will also gain unrivalled hands-on experience and develop valuable work-ready skills. The UTC has a strong focus on Science and Maths so an interest in these subjects is an advantange.
Post-16 students will spend 60% of their time on engineering studies, including hands on projects with our employer partners.
The UTC has a bias towards Maths and Science, so students will also focus on these subjects.
They will study for A Levels, alongside Level 2 or 3 industry qualifications, giving them all the skills they need for the engineering industry workplace.
